WSCN at AAN 2026

WSCN attended the convention in order to connect with the neurology community, practitioners, thought leaders and other stakeholders. Our intention was to open up conversations that bring sleep and circadian health to the forefront of neurology. As brain-based processes, sleep and circadian biology serve as overall indicators of the presence or progression of neurologic disease, as well as measures of overall health and wellbeing.

Alongside this we shared information about our CPAP Assistance Program and the AWAKE Peer Mentor Program, which assist people with sleep apnea to gain access to equipment and support to help them succeed. Our aim is to ensure everyone can access the care they need to be healthy.

Alongside sharing our work and programs, we were able to collect meaningful insights and information from attendees about the challenges they are facing in their work.

Patient Advocate attendee at Beyond Sleepy & SLEEP 2026.

Thanks to WSCN, I was able to attend SLEEP 2026, share the patient perspective, participate in a roundtable discussion, and connect with clinicians, researchers, and fellow advocates.

Advocacy is something I care deeply about, and this support allowed me to continue doing work I love – representing and supporting the sleep disorder community."

Every year, the SLEEP conference reminds me why I chose sleep medicine. It's an opportunity to learn about the latest research, connect with colleagues from all over the world, and come home with new ideas that will ultimately benefit my patients.

After attending this year's meeting with WSCN's support left me especially excited about where the field is headed.

I'm so grateful to WSCN for the opportunity to attend SLEEP 2026 in Baltimore. What surprised me most was how open and welcoming everyone was, including patients, doctors, and researchers.
